    • Orientation to Academic Teaching (Classroom):You will be taken through a workshop situation on PADI’s Academic Teaching and Through out the course will be performing a minimum of 4 Academic presentations. After each evaluation you will be given your score and the Course Director will then point out where you could improve and what the PADI evaluators will be looking for.

    • Orientation to Confined Water Teaching (Pool): You will be shown how to conduct a confined water presentation. In this section you will learn the most commonly encountered problems and practice your confined water teaching. This will involve a briefing, demonstration, problem solving and debriefing. When giving your presentations you will be in charge of a number of ‘Students’ (Instructor Candidates) plus you will have one assistant. Your will be expected to brief these “Open Water Students” and conduct your demonstration. The students will then proceed to attempt the assigned skill. You will once again be evaluated after each presentation and debriefed afterwards. You will be given approximately 4 confined presentations.
